Wis Act 55 - SS 120.12(13)
Wisconsin School Districts must annually notify parents/guardians of students enrolled in our school district of the student academic standards that will be in effect for the upcoming school year. Students and parents are entitled to the right to inspect instructional materials used as part of the educational curriculum. Any student or parent should contact the district administrator or building principal for access to instructional materials.

Wis Act 55 - SS 118.57
Children that reside within the boundaries of the Augusta Area School District have a variety of educational options. Their options include all educational programming sponsored by the district, attendance at private schools, participating in the Wisconsin Private School Choice Program, virtual schools sponsored by the district and other districts in the state of Wisconsin, full-time open enrollment to other Wisconsin public school districts, youth options, course options, and home-based private educational programs.
Parents of children with disabilities are also advised that there is a special needs voucher program.

The Augusta Area School District embraces accountability for the quality of our programs and our student performance. Accountability reports are published by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Review our district’s previous accountability reports.

Federal Notice ESSA [20 U.S.C. 6312(e)1A]
Schools who receive federal Title I program funds are required to notify parents that they may request and obtain information regarding the professional qualifications of their child’s classroom teachers including the following:
- Whether a teacher has met state licensing criteria for the grade level and subject areas taught;
- Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or provisional status through which state licensing criteria has been waived;
- The undergraduate degree major of the teacher and any graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, including the field of discipline of the certification degree;
- Whether the student is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
In addition, a school is required to notify parents if their child is assigned to or taught for four or more consecutive weeks by a teacher who is not “highly qualified.” This provision applies to all teachers and substitute teachers.
The status of the qualifications of your child's teacher's license can be found on the DPI website. To search select "Search by Name", type in the Last and First Name of the teacher then select "Submit".
**Any parent/guardian requesting information on teacher or paraprofessional qualifications should do so by contacting the School District Office.**
Parents who request teacher and/or paraprofessional qualification information must be provided the information in a timely manner.

Wis Admin Code PI 9.05
The Board of Education does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital status, parental status, sexual orientation, sex (including transgender status, change of sex or gender identity), disability, age (except as authorized by law), military status or physical, mental, emotional, or learning disability ("protected classes") in any of its student program and activities.
Students, parents and all other members of the School District community are encouraged to promptly report suspected violations to a teacher or administrator. Any teacher or administrator who receives such a complaint shall file it with the District's Compliance Officer at his/her first opportunity. The Board designates the following individuals to serve as the District's Compliance Officers.

The district will publish information regarding the state required 4th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade examinations administered to students enrolled in the district. The following state required assessments are administered for the purpose of measuring student growth:

The Board does not discriminate on the basis of sex (including sexual orientation or gender identity), in its education programs or activities, and is required by Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, and its implementing regulations, not to discriminate in such a manner. The requirement not to discriminate in its education program or activity extends to admission and employment. The Board is committed to maintaining an education and work environment that is free from discrimination based on sex, including sexual harassment.
The Board prohibits sexual harassment that occurs within its education programs and activities. When the District has actual knowledge of sexual harassment in its education program or activity against a person in the United States, it shall promptly respond in a manner that is not deliberately indifferent.
Pursuant to its Title IX obligations, the Board is committed to eliminating sexual harassment and will take appropriate action when an individual is determined responsible for violating this policy. Members of the School District community who commit Sexual Harassment are subject to the full range of disciplinary sanctions set forth in this policy. Third parties who engage in sexual harassment are also subject to the disciplinary sanctions listed in this policy. The Board will provide persons who have experienced Sexual Harassment ongoing supportive measures as reasonably necessary to restore or preserve access to the District’s education programs and activities.
