What is FCCLA?
FCCLA stands for: Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
A few ways FCCLA helps Students…
- To develop career skills and learn to balance career and family responsibilities.
- Improve self-esteem.
- Develop a personal leadership style.
- Identify concerns, make decisions, and carry out activities.
- Further explore, careers in the Family and Consumer Science field.
Commitment to FCCLA
- Pick a project that you qualify for, complete the project, prepare to present, and create a schedule with Mrs. King. (to work on projects).
- Monthly group meetings and help plan and execute School wide events.
- Local competition is at UW-Stout in February
What else?
- Leadership opportunities are available at the local and state level that students will be eligible to apply and run for next school year if interested.
- Students who are in FCCLA must have taken a FCE class.
- Students who do well at local competition a 90% or better, are eligible to attend and compete at the State Level.
