- Offer project-based education that transfers to the real-world.
- Be transparent in all school operations.
- Hold our students and teachers accountable for their contributions to the pursuit of learning.
- Create a school environment where community is fostered, mutual respect is demanded, and appreciation of differences is encouraged.
- Provide opportunities for students to give back to, and serve the community.
Values Statements
We value the individual learning of each student. We value teamwork; the school as a family, community and center of learning.
We recognize and respect the diversity of our students and families, and believe their varied experiences, beliefs, and backgrounds enhance learning. We respect family values. ( We recognize the varied backgrounds, experiences, and beliefs of living in a multicultural society.
We believe public education is:
- As Justice Thurgood Marshall said of public education: “no other state function is so uniformly recognized as an essential element of our society’s well being.”
- An opportunity to safely expand our knowledge, challenge our presumptions, and give everyone, regardless of their income, birthplace, or zip code, all the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills to become contributing, and productive member of society.
- A fundamental right per the Constitution of the State of Wisconsin.
- Meant to be individualized enough to account for every child's learning styles and limitations.
- Meant to meet the needs of the community, families, and students.
- An important step in becoming a productive member of society.
