ANYONE CAN SING! (Yes, including you.)

Originally born and raised in New Jersey, where he initially joined choir just to complete his arts requirement and couldn't match pitch, Ryan went on to get a B.M. in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Ithaca College in 2013 and an M.M. in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College in 2017. Ryan moved to Wisconsin 3 years ago to pursue his teaching career. Before moving to the Augusta area, Ryan taught high school choir and middle school general music with the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District from 2017-2019. In 2019, he made the switch to Augusta and couldn't be happier! This will be his 2nd year teaching music in Augusta. In addition to teaching choir, Ryan directs the extracurricular Show Choir, coaches the Augusta Esports Team, and is the music director for the school musicals alongside Ms. Hedberg and Ms. Bergum. 

In addition to teaching, Ryan has sung with a number of semi-professional choirs, including the Bel Canto Chorus in Milwaukee from 2017-2019, and the Master Singers of Eau Claire, where he still currently sings. In both ensembles he has been featured as a soloist. He currently serves as the music director and conductor of the Chippewa Valley Community Chorus, a choir open to any singers of all ages and levels of experience!

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys playing video games and experimenting with cooking. He also likes to go on walks around Eau Claire.
